GBN appoints new Chair

Jacky Sherman has just been appointed Chair of the Green Business Network She replaces outgoing Chair Bill Burton, who will remain as a Trustee of the Network.

Jacky has a wealth of experience in business and industry and is widely acknowledged as a referral marketing guru. After a successful career in the NHS, where she was CEO of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Jacky set up her own consulting and coaching business specialising in business relationships.

She has a wide network of contacts across most business sectors, and is committed to helping businesses use their collective networks to implement green practices that reduce the impact we are having on the planet.

Jacky’s interest in green issues started with teabags. “I was watching TV and there was a bloke shouting about how great it was that teabags were glued together with plastic,” she says. “I knew then that that wasn’t great at all and started to look at how I could avoid teabags with plastic in them.” One thing led to another and Jacky became committed to doing something about saving the planet.

The next part of her journey is to lead the Green Business Network in developing new offerings that will promote the idea that green business is good business. You can’t argue with that.
