Circular Economy in the Real World
As businesses, we are coming
under increasing pressure to reduce waste, cut our use of resources and slash
our carbon emissions. One of the best ways to do this is to design-out waste in
our products and services from the outset, by adopting a circular economy
The session will start with the basics of circular economy, then outline the key factors that help companies to develop successful circular business models. Our speaker will share case studies from companies that have successfully implemented circular change (and some where they haven’t!).
The second half will give attendees an opportunity to consider circular models in their own business – either as a customer or as a supply partner. We’ll work through some basic steps to get the discussion started and attendees can share ideas, thoughts, opportunities and challenges.
Our speaker for this seminar is Gerrard Fisher of QSA Partners, who are specialists in circular economy models. They’ve worked with companies across a wide range of sectors and have experience from the sharp end of waste management (sorting waste at MRFs) to working on ultra-efficient high-tech transportation (hydrogen-powered cars). Gerrard Fisher of QSA has worked on circular economy business models for over 10 years and has great examples of successes (and failures!) to share from his work on circular economy change. See www.qsapartners.co.uk for more information.
The seminar is free to GBN members (excludes breakfast). If you want breakfast, please contact us to pre-book at a cost of £3.00. Non members are welcome to attend at a cost of £30 +VAT per delegate.
